Nurses threaten to take action over job losses

No surprise there then, it was only a couple of days ago I was raising the issue of going back to the troublesome 70's looks like it's coming true...

The key issue here is simple, if you corner people and give them an option of "nothing to lose", you will get an adverse reaction, until these hard working, under valued people get true recognition for what they do there will always be unrest....

Party Political Campaign - back fired

Looks like all the money wasted telling us what they would do, didn't entice us to vote, I have a pretty good excuse, other than not wanting to vote for any of the parties, I was out of the country on the day of the election and watch the result unfold on US tv...

I think it would bode well for all parties to focus on what is truely needed for the country at the next election and be really revolutionary and stick to what is needed...

NHS cuts put elderly in danger, say nurses...

NHS cuts put elderly in danger, say nurses
By Sam Lister and Rosemary Bennett

Yesterday we had issues over Nurses losing their jobs, now we hear old people are the target area for the cut backs, we seem to be slipping back to the 70's prior to Mrs Thatcher, we have a gross 75% taxation for all those on the higher tax bracket, if you include all taxation, VAT, council tax etc.

We have employment unrest, in the public sector, so where will it end, when will we have decent alternative, when will we have another Mrs Thatcher type leader who will stop our country slipping back in time?

NHS Nurses losing their jobs...

So much for the national health service being an effective option of healthcare, thanks to the governments continued development of senior management structures, which have added more and more cost, the coal face nurses are losing their jobs, without the nurses the whole thing will fall apart...

BBC Online 23rd April 2006

Nurse cuts 'hit 50% of hospitals'

Many staff fear for their jobs.

Nearly half of senior nurses have seen cuts in nursing posts in hospitals in the past year, a survey claims.

Planning is key to success...

But when you are in a different town, city or country it is vital... check out how long it takes to get somewhere, by using dead time to make the journey prior to making it for the important appointment, make sure you have everything you need before you leave...

All common sense I know but vital to being seen to be successful and just as important as making the initial appointment with your customer or colleague.

Networking working at its best

Online networking really kicks in when you start to travel, having spent the evening with Doug Wolfgram and his wife in a very nice restaurant in San Jaun Capistrano, Orange County. It is these moments that make it work...

Doug and I connect first on Ecademy and have stayed in contact ever since.

Her Majesty's Royal Navy does her proud, whilst her son looks old

Prince Charles is looking as old as his Mum, obviously his genes are from his fathers side, 80 years of age and looking like she will out last Charles... thanks to you Mam

The Royal Navy always pull out the stops for the Queen and so they should, that's why one joins up, well that's how you think after you have finished basic training.

Buyers who don't buy

What is it that makes buyers not do what their title tells them to do?

I understand all the real reasons why good buyers don't buy... however when the opportunity and the deal is exactly right for them, why do they not do what their job title says they do?

Frustrated in sales find the real reasons and you will have the answer and the route to get them to buy what ever the reason is for not... find the key and open the door to a more successful business.

RBS buying a hotel chain...

Understanding why they would from a property investment point of view, but given they haven't sorted their core business acquisitions out yet or merged the business systems fully you would think they would stick to their knitting, who am I to ask any questions of their direction... oh yes a customer with both RBS and NatWest

Waste of money or reality of being in the public eye

Labour fury at Cherie's election hair stylist bill
By Greg Hurst, Political Correspondent, the Times article here

Do we really believe that this is a shock, that this sort of thing goes on... I think the biggest shock is, for that amount of money Cherie Blair could have had a decent hair do...

It's probably costing more money to investigate this sort of so called abuse of position, than it would cost to supply the new Diabetic inhaler drugs under the NHS budget, which would in the long term save money because Diabetics would be more likely to use it.

What has happened to our country?

The time between blogs amazes me...

I try to think about blogging on a regular basis, then when I look at the date of the last one I realise a whole month has gone by and no blogs...

Failing with my promise seems to be my strength at the moment, issue to discuss are always there just need typing... note to self must try harder.

On line house hunting...

Now there is an event which takes a long time, perhaps there is a way around such a chore...

The internet sometimes is like a dictionary unless you can spell a word you can't find it...

There must be some mileage in developing a better way of developing/seeking knowledge.
